Does anyone know of a good manufacturer/supplier of strong rip-fast fabric tents. We own a campsite in the Peak District and want to buy 4 good tents for renting out to first timers to try camping - something along the French idea but a bit more luxurious - i.e. safari style. So far all the UK suppliers seem to sell are very lightweight tents. Any ideas? Thanks.

How about this company? They do some really interesting/expensive stuff that is designed to stay up for months.

I agree with Alan, canvas would be the way to go. Nylon tents wouldn't last half a season without looking degraded and rough.

Either go for a more conventional/practical Cabanon or one of the more quirky yurt/bell tent types. I would avoid the Cabanon Biscayas or anything with a sewnin/zipin grounsheet as they would be more vulnerable to abuse and damage.MT

Where is your campsite and is it on the search facility on here?

Not sure if they still have them but Camperlands used to sell a lot of the eurotent used stock. Might be worth a thought if your trialing the idea.
