Forget the co-odinating kit, what I want is the nice sunny weather, where it is warm enough to sit around in shorts and a tshirt.
Got away four times last year, and every time we got rain, and certainly no weather where you could sit around in shorts and t shirts.  Wooly jumpers, and body warmers yes - shorts no.

I couldn't possible have co-ordinating kit, as I have different tents for different trips. and things like the sleeping bags. chairs and windbreaks have to do all.

Noooooooooooooooooo moonseeker don't say such things [la la la fingers in ears emoticon]. My OH is, if not encouraging, at least passively neutral to my ever increasing tent and kit voyeuristic addiction (mostly fueled by this site I might add), because he thinks camping is CHEAP.

Now I may have to rethink my whole strategy as you have reminded me of the need for a smogasbord of tent options depending on length of stay, time of year, whether I'm in pastel mood (loving the new pink vango orchy) or strident masculine colours.

I'm going to need to build a bigger garage.

I'm totally with you there Slubber, we don't have a garage, all our camping stuff is stuffed in the cubby under the stairs!  Unfortunately, this means I am limited to doing a lot of window shopping and not a lot of buying of new camping kit as I have no where to store it!

But like you, hubby thinks camping is cheap and ask I keep telling him about the bargains I keep getting on Ebay, I can feed my camping kit addiction....

Luckily for me (not for OH), we live quite close to Towsure....ahhh, nothing better than having a browse round there on a Saturday afternoon...!

But you know what will happen if I get the zip offs....

It will then lead to having a co-ordinated base layer, insulating layer and outer jacket.. all in sage green and cream....

then it will be co-ordinating boots....and hat (woolly one AND one for the sun..)

I'm in danger of blending in so much with my tent and windbreak, the hubby won't be able to see me if I stand next to it!!!....I'll call myself the "Stealth Camper.."!!!

With obligatory pom-pom?

And matching pom-pom scarf (I've seen them, in Millets! ).

yep, thats it, once you start down this route, the only sorry end is a pom-pom hat and matching scarf.....heeelllpp mmeeeee!!!

I work in a town centre with a millets, barratts outdoor world and a couple of mountaineering shops....I have to avoid them at all costs as I am like a moth to a lightbulb if I get near and before you know it, I will have flashed the flexible friend and I have a bulging bag of outdoor gear (usually a fleece top, I have no idea why..), camping nic-nacs which you never use and bizzarly some suncream or a lipsalve for when you are climbing!
