hiya

 im sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with yeomans but i can say some of the staff you deal with at the head office do have more authority then staff in the stores and they are having problems with outwell deliveries at the moment i would just say give them abit more time as it isnt the shop staff's fault (or the ones at headoffice)

I agree with 2mnn and 12k61,

Give them time and it'll be sorted. I've spoken to Will H at the warehouse a few times and he's always been good if I've had any issues.

Outwell I think have massively under-ordered stock for the season so looks like they are playing catch up.

Like you guys have said, they are only human.

I must say though, I'm starting to get a little fed with Outwell.  Whether they have been rushing production through so quality standards have dropped as a consequence or I'm just having terribly bad luck, I don't know.

First my order took ages to arrive - ordered at NEC & got my last item from Yeomans this week (although I am still waiting for something else from an online retailer which was ordered week after NEC show (again Outwell).  The 1st tent I had had a seam coming unstitched, the 2nd tent a tensioner coming unstitched on the canopy.  We now have the 2nd tent with the 1st canopy.  Then the carpet didn't fit properly.  This was exchanged & the replacement is exactly the same!  The footprint arrived this week so have yet to check this, I'm a bit worried that it's not going to fit after everything else that's happened. 

Yeomans have been great & seem to be doing everything they can to rectify the problem but now I just want it sorted.

Hi all

Just to say, the carpets from all the brands are not the best of fits. Its not like a house where its totally wall to wall. There are a few inches of gap all around the edges.

The slits for the pod anchor points on my carpet are in the wrong place!!  They have been placed to accomodate pod arrangement of 2 + 3 + 2 & as we know WL7 is 2 + 2 + 3 so one of the slits fits & one is about 30cm out making the carpet all bunch up over the anchor point. Bummer!

Hi all

Just a quick update, I received a call from Yeomans telling me that unexpectedly my tent had arrived and could be collected when I wanted. Which I duly did (thanked Becky at Northampton Yeomans for all her help in sorting this matter for me)

Last night the weather seemed ok so we decided to get the tent up and give a quich once over (particually after reading the posts on here about Outwells quality lately) As soon as we got the tent out the bag we discovered something was broken, so today the tent went back to Yeomans and we are again waiting for a replacement.

We collected our Vermont XL the other week and haven`t had it out of the bag yet. We are planning on going away as soon as the weather gets nicer to do a trial un with it before our main hols. I think I might tell OH the quicker the better and can he please just check inside the bag to make sure there is nothing visibly broken/missing.

        was blissfully happy,just bought a outwell trout lake tent from yeomans untried. after reading reviews about leaking tents,unable to sleep

You certainly wouldn't be able to sleep if you were in the leaking tent. lol.

Seriously though, I'm sure all the leaking tent issues have been resolved.  We have recently bought the Wolf Lake from Yeomans with various other bits & have had a few problems with unstitched seams & badly fitting carpets. Now have part of 1st tent & part of 2nd tent which seems to make up 1 whole tent which won't come apart at the seams. On 2nd carpet but it seems that all Wolf Lake carpets don't fit so have now go to wait for Outwell to have a whole new batch made in the Far East.  Yeomans have been great & really honest with us (the carpets may not be ready until next yr).  They have arranged for us to use the carpet we have until the new ones are ready no matter how long it takes.  Despite the problems we have had I love the Wolf & wouldn't change it for anything..well maybe just a Cabanon Biscaya......
