At the time, it was NOT FUNNY at all. I still can't believe none of my so-called friends woke up.

Ah.  That's what alcohol does - makes you sleep soundly.

Virgin campers on our very first camping trip. me and my hubby - 2 kids and the baby . Gale force winds , trying to erect a Gelert Monsoon. We used the kids and baby as weights to stop the thing flapping. i got wipped around the face by one of the metal bits on the tent. Next day we made friends with a couple of other fellow campers who told us they had great delight in watching us put up our tent in gale force conditions ... and could not stop laughing at our incompetance  !!!!!!

Hmmmm, they watched you struggling, in gale force winds, with 2 kids and a baby in tow?

Very neighbourly!

at the time is was so cross, but given the fact me and my other half were f, ing and blinding like troopers i think they decided to steer well clear in case of world war 3 erupting !!!!!

I also remember the time when i forgot to pack the air pump , i walked over to this large group of boys surrounded by their camp fire to ask if i could borrow their pump. Beach ball got tossed my way, i tossed it back . . . ..straight onto the camp fire ...oops . All the boys fell about laughing and luckily found the funny side..... they did lend me the pump , and the next day i bought them a replacement ... i was mortified.
