Hi, I had a little bit of a mishap with the roof poles of my nevada 8 pro action tent, I know i could probably making them up with spares from some site, but wondered if anywhere knew where to get actual spares for these tents.

Argos told me they couldnt give me the manafacturer details.

Regards,

Me

Hi newbie1
It looks like there are lots of owners who are looking for replacement poles for their Nevada 8 pro action tents and not one lead to spares could I find.
I think the only way you might get poles is to go to a recognised camping dealer who sells the tents, and order what you require,
Now I am not sure about this but a few posts I have read seem to point to the tent been manufactured in China.
Best of luck
Rex

if its fiberglass poles then just buy a set the same diameter and reconstruct them.
if their straight metal then buy sections for the broken ones to be replaced ,you can cut them down to the same lenght but make sure you cut the right end
most camping shops definately have thr glass poles but the metal ones could be from another tent ,if the diameter both ends is the same as your dead one then mr bodge can do.
weve upgraded our roof poles as the last used to buckle on the slightest wind but ofcourse making them too thick would rip the fabric instead.
cant remember what ours is definately a pro action tunnel though but for the price (half price that is) a roomy summer tent

Hi

Pro action tents are made for Argos only, I doubt you will get spares etc from Argos. They sell stuff in boxes and thats about it. I hate to bang on about this but buy your camping kit from a camping store. Buy your chickens from a supermarket and your tv etc from an electrical store.

Re your pole problem, take the damaged ones to a camping shop and ask them to help you out, and I dont mean blacks or millets, I mean a family run store.

You wont get to deal with the Chinese factory where the pro action tents are made.

Let me know where you live an ill find out a good camping retailer for you in your area.

Gary

Cheers for the replies guys.

The mishap included me losing the a bag with the roof poles in :$

aint the end of the world i guess, i know they're 11mm fibreglass and theres 5 sections worth across the top of the roof as it goes down the tent.

Tbh i saw the poles to cut ya self on tentspares.co.uk, wondered if anyone knew anywhere cheaper.

Aint my main tent, more a tent for large groups when we go.

Will see wot i can do, any reccomendations for a 8+ tent, within a low budget, besides the pro action.

Might be easier to fly to china :P
