Looking at one of these for the warmer weather. Can't quite work out what you use to cool it though. It has drainage which sort of implies you use ice, but can you use ordinary coolpacks too?

Hi Daisy, I use mostly ice,I have use the blocks at times, I think ice is better, I pack the food into plastic containers first so that it doesnt get all soggy.

Hi Daisytent.

The drainage hole is for condensation and the melted water that comes off stuff when it's thawed slightly.

We use the coolpacks as you can refreeze them on site if there's a freezer available.

We have a big Coleman coolbox and I must say it keeps stuff cold longer than most other coolboxes I've come across.

Thanks guys, I think we'll get one then. Probably go with the cool packs as we have 2 nice big ones in our freezer.

We have just bought one (an ebay bargain) , yet to try it out.

I bought a few packs of ice packs (3 for  £1) in Asda the other day so going to use them and some loose ice, hoping will keep our food cold for long weekends.
