We test pitched it and it is a very nice size. It's so quick and easy to pitch leaving more time to enjoy family time. The tent is more suited for 4 than 6 though, not that that matters seeing you are a family of 3 but worth mentioning.

The living space is nice and bright and airy as well. We opted for the carpet and footprint as well. We had these for our Outwell and they are def. a bonus not to miss. There is a room divider but it just hooks on. We don't plan on using ours, it seems pointless.

We do plan on taking our kitchen tent for cooking for safety reasons. We were supposed to go camping this weekend, but due to weather, cancelled.

I like the Orchy just as much and if it wasn't for the cheap deal we got on the Sumatra, we would have gone for the Orchy. Can't wait to use it now.

Enjoy your new Orchy and give us a report after you get to use it!

Afras, it really is a great tent and I agree the size is great!

We got such a bargain on our because it was a sample tent (175) but well worth the regular price as well.

Hi Stewy.  Really fancy the Orchy 600 myself but looking at the pictures of it seems like one of those tents that when you open the door the rain will fall in and I hate that.  Interested on your opinion when you pitch it.  PamJ

You'll get rain in most tents as you need a canopy or a straight wall. Plus if it's raining, you're probably wet along with your shoes anyway and rain water will get in.

Got my sample tent at outdoor action

Mamabear - can you remind me where you were planning to go this weekend - I can't remember what thread it was on but I know it was somewhere I liked the look of and I'm looking for somewhere for May.

Thanks!

Hi all

Highbrige came up trumps and the sumatra was delivered thursday! we have opened the footprint and the carpet and gone  and love it already!  we are going away in may and therefore have to have a trial run before then! i will take photos and give a preliminary report then, all i know at the mo is that it's big and not white  (like in the photos) but sage green

regards  Alison

Tell me about it, I thought it was going to look white as well. I still think the sage is very very light though.  I love how easy it is to erect and it's much lighter in weight at well compared to our Vermont last year.

We're getting the Bear Lake 6, supposed to be shipped out to us in 2 weeks and I'm sure that thing is going to weigh a tonne. Can't wait to use either of them.

Def. let us know how it goes with your Sumatra

Elphaba, sorry I missed your question, it is Shallow Grange Farm in Buxton.

We plan on going there at some point this summer.
