have just had phone call saying we are runners up from competion at show and we have won 7 days in malta raddison but have to pay admin costs and own flight ??????

wondered what others think of this  as cant remeber entering !!

Definately keep clear, sounds like a scam.  We had a phone call to say we had won a holiday (not from the nec) and we had to pay flight etc and they get you there to flog you timeshare.

Just remember if it sounds too good to be true it usually is! 

What is the name of the company?

they say that they are the raddison hotel group?

Yep, we too have received a letter saying we have won a mini cruise. Now, we do recall entering a competition at the NEC but not the bit about entering our credit card details for insurance, port charges, handling and fuel surcharges and additonal extras!

Would probably end up costing more than booking something direct?

Funny how they can't quote for those things, and expect you just to fill in credit card details beforehand.....I think not!

A simple rule of thumb, if you`ve won a holiday or prize of any kind, there should be no financial outlay to claim it.

I am in the same boat, phone call to say I had won and this magnificent spa break in Malta ?? do not remember entering anything, alarm bells started ringing and when she asked "are you both in full time employment ?" I replied "No both unemployed" and with that she said I will send details and goodbye!.Have used the same reply with many time share and suspect calls, saves a lot of wasted time on the phone.

Enjoy your break in Malta though (lol)

 I used to get phone calls like that so I asked them to send me the details. They then asked me for my address, I said if you have got my phone number legally then you must have my address. Surprisingly the phone goes dead.
