This is a tarp or extra groundsheet the same shape as your tent which goes underneath the tent to keep the SIG clean/as extra insulation etc. Cheap B&Q tarp does the job for us or you could invest in a purpose made one for your tent if there is such a thing.

You would have to cut it to size or fold the excess under to stop it collecting a puddle under your sig.

Edited to say theres no such thing as a silly question, if you're not sure ask away, the only silly question is the one you don't ask, and never get the answer to.

Hi Trillda!

I took to using footprints last season and swear by them. They save a lot of cleaning up afterwards when you are packing up. Don't bother wasting money on those fancy made to measure ones, any old tarp cut or folded to size will do the job just as well.

The camping season probably won't start for me for a few weeks yet and I'm aching to get out there. Footprints are a great idea... just watch the carbon type!!!
