I was worried about this becuase my Toronto 600 is approx 5x4 and thats without the guide ropes.

When the camp site mentions tent size does that include the guide ropes?

Because if my tent is 5x4 plus the guide ropes/Winbreaks & a 4x4 does all that have to fit within the pitch size?

I liked the way they did things in France. All pitches were separated by hedges, but they weren't all the same size. You simply drove around & picked he pitch for you. (unless it was really busy, then you got what you were given!)

We have come across a site that has a maximum size of 6m x 6m INCLUDING guys! My little 4 berth Licata 400 wouldn't fit on that!

C&CC pitch size can accept a maximum tent size of 5m x 9m - anything larger and you would need to book a jumbo pitch (extra cost and not available at all sites)

Length doesn't seem to be too much of an issue but tents over 5m wide and those that are X or Y shaped can encounter problems due to their very large footprint. Tunnel tents seem to make the best use of rectangular, marked out pitches.

At 650cm x 365cm, the Nevada XL shouldn't cause any problems.
We have the Khyam Ontario 8 and that measures 750cm x 370cm and we have never had any problems getting on a site and have never been charged for 2 pitches.

Hi just booked into a site for the end of June. for my first stay in my outwell vermont L. And was told that a standard site is 8x5 so when I asked what about the car and trailer on the pitch they said no problem so is 8x 5 just the tent????
