you get a book from the caravanning and camplin club but i found this website brilliant. and if you ask for advice in the forums on the area you want and what you need to be near (beach, etc) you will get lots of great advice

When camping in a tent, my wife likes it erect ASAP but when camping in the Cali, my wife likes it up nice and smooth.
i agree with Ratty, ive looked in my mates book to get info on a site i heard about once and it wasnt in there, thats when i found this place cos i was here. Much better than any book on the market if you ask me!

Another thumbs up for this site! The wealth of information in the listings, plus the extra support of the forums really make most of the directory type books redundant!
The only books I would recommend personally would be the Cool Camping ones, which are more like 'coffee table' books which highlight campsites that offer something a little bit different..great photography too!
If you have to buy a book, which is nice if you want to take it with you for touring i would go for the cades. As far a i can gather most books are just paid for ads but the Cades book reviews are not paid for. This would seem to me a better way of getting an honest opinion.
I will definitely use this site to research where to go and also the forum to get opinions and reviews, but think I'll invest in the Cades too. I'm a bit of a bookworm and like to have paper to flick through. Off to the Amazon site now to buy it!!!
