I'm sorry if this might sound a stupid question but I would like to know if when pegging down the tent itself (not the guys), do you put those pegs in at a slight angle as well, or do you just put them in straight down?

Sorry this is another 'pegging' question!

Making a 90 degree angle between the peg and guy rope / rubber is the logical method to use. Plus Delta pegs of course.

Deefinitely an angle - makes them much stronger.

Plus, use good pegs, not the next-to-useless wire things most tents come with. I don't use deltas but to have very long sturdy steel pegs. I've had most of them for years and when I change the tent I include the pegs from the new tent.

Last tip - wherever there's a guide rope on your tent, use it - who knows what the weather will do during the night.
