Our vango has been returned, due to it raining in so until they credit us we only have the pink one! My problem is that this weekend we dont have the kids, so i thought me and OH could get away for a night somewhere. His problem is "its pink" so he says NO WAY.

Would you have a problem?

Pink isn't so bad, after all, one persons pink is another persons "dusty grape" - it's the "floral" bit that may be a cause for concern.  "Pink floral" sort of implies you have a tent covered in a flower pattern on a pink background which may be a challenge to many men no matter how in touch with their feminine side they may claim to be. Personally if I was in your husbands shoes I'd agree with you right down the line but make sure my little one-man ex-army backpacker tent (in olive drab) was stashed away under the drivers seat "just in case".

My Hubby says he wouldn't care if the tent was pink lame with "I am as camp as a row of pink tents" painted on the side. (No offence meant to gay people anywhere, I do assure you!) Not if he really wanted to go camping. Hubby suggests you check the football schedules on the telly or the pub for a special 2for1 event this weekend. It's obvious that your OH wants to do something else and the pink bit is only a flimsey excuse.

If I were you I'd just go on my own.

Is this pink floral tent one of the millets festival tents?

might borrow a one man for him, and sleep on my own.

Its the one in Argos got it for a steel at 15 quid! { is really only for kids to play} but when a woman needs to camp!!!!!!!!!

Pitch the tent facing the hedge and surround the entrance with the car and windbreaks so that no one will see him coming in or out if it worries him so much. 

Alternatively, tell him he should be more secure in his masculinity.

I think a pink floral tent sounds fab! I am sure my OH would be persuaded to get over the slight (well, extreme) girliness with promises on manly beer drinking and bbq eating... Bribery could be the way forward?!

Or as Val suggests, could well be something far more pressing than a pink tent stopping him going this weekend...

Just taken a look at it, me and my little girlie would be in our element camping in that

I notice they do a blue stripey one for the same price.  Let him have one of them and camp next door.   Then if you are feeling a little passionate being without the kids he can 'visit' you.   It's allegedly good enough for the queen!

Well I just had to google it  its brilliant! I have a fold up table in pink that would match it if you want to borrow it

That pink flowery tent is just so fab,   However as we got the four man tepee the otehr day (and slept in it last night) another tent is out of the question.  Although I might car boot the other play tent that I have and get one of these as a beach tent.

Well my problem is solved every store for miles around is out of stock.

I bought that very tent a couple of weeks ago as it matches my car (look at my gallery image to see what I mean!!)

Bought it ready for the Dales Mini Run in September and my boys are already arguing over who is going to sleep in it with me!!!! wish they did a family size version!

Going camping in it this weekend and I can't wait and yes, hubby is very happy to share it with me!!!
