We replaced two double airbeds last year (one reasonably expensive and one from Asda) afte our two previous beds had developed slow deflation.    Used the new ones twice only and had the same problem of them deflating overnight.  

Just got them out now to test them for later this month and guess what they are going down.  Put the paddling pool up and cannot find any leaks from the bed/valves.

Incidently we use two groundsheets and an underbed mat so it is unlikely they can be punctured from underneath when we are using them.  It really is odd that we cannot find a leak from the water test.

Long shot but has anyone experienced similar problems before we have to splash out again.

Where and how do you store the beds?

We roll ours (not fold) and store them indoors over the winter (not in a garage or shed). Could this make a difference perhaps?

Hi, we have gone through so many airbeds from tesco's and stores like it!always tented to go for the cheap double air beds.. always always had slow deflation in them..  i did a little research and purchased a Coleman Quickbed! wow..built in pump that inflates and deflates so fast and  the bed stays inflated and comfortable during the night... it is the best airbed we have had and highly recommend to you..

Sack the airbed and go for a good quality self inflating mattress such as Thermarest or Airic. I had the same problems with air beds you've described, not anymore.

Methinks that you cannot find the leak, even in the paddling pool, is because there is no pressure on the item.  I suggest you put just 2 inches of water in the pool, squirt in some washing-up liquid, shwish the water around a bit, then lie on it.

I think you will see some bubbles.
