HI there,

Need some advice?

We have got a Montana8 (which was superceded by a diablo 600xp and more recently a monty 6)which is gathering dust in our shed.

What do I do with it, do i ebay it (this would involve havimg to put it up to take a piccy of it) or do I just offer it to frecycle. We aren't going to use it as I think the monty 6 has all we need. AFter camping in it BH weekend and we realised that 8 was also too big!

So all answers greatly appreciated. The way things are going we go away at Whitsun and in July, in july we are taking the diablo, if it doesn't prove to be as useful I may consider flogging that too.

Naomi
Is it a shed or a retirement home for old camping gear!!!!!

hi, we have the same problem, our first tent was an outwell so it wasnt cheap, and we have allways looked after it, we then had a caravan or two, and have now gone back to tenting, we have brought a vermont L and said we would keep the old tent for overnight stays, but then we stumbled across a very cheap montana 4 and have had that for an overnight tent

but we feel our original outwell is too good to chuck out, would give it away, but would like someone to have it who will look after it like we have

Is there not an organisation that could use them for people in crisis who's homes have been damaged (earthquake victims etc) that would be a very good use for them.

Alternativly you could always sell them on here.

dont you want a larger canvas frame tent for long spaciouse luxury camps???????

if so pm me we want to swap out canvas frame tent for a smaller weekend tent

i have posted on wanted adds here on this site

we have a canvas frame tent(pics in our profile)

we need a smaller tent as we only get away for 3 days max now

would be willing to pay courrier in both directions and then you could sell the frame tent and keep /or donate proceeds to charity

Hi

I'm a guider in Coventry. Email me if you'd like me to help you find a guide / scout group to donate the tents to in the midlands region.

Smaller tents can be used for patrol sleeping; larger tents for cooking, washing & eating in. Unfortunately some groups have to limit the number of children / leaders that they can take away because they do not have sufficient tentage for everybody.

If the canvas is badly ripped - remember the remaining canvas can be used to make tent bags etc.
