I spent ages reading through posts on here and reviews on the web to choose a coolbox. I finally decided on the Coleman xtreme. I bought the smallest one (36qt) which sounded OK from the dimensions. When it arrived, it was HUGE! I ummed and aahed and decided to keep it as it had taken me that long to choose it.
Then, today, I visited a local camping supplier who had this one http://www.campingworld.co.uk/Models.aspx?ModelID=634 which also makes the 5-day claim, but is a much more reasonable size.
I can return the Coleman, although I will lose my p+p. But I can't find reviews anywhere for the evo. Has anyone got one?

Daisytent, can't help you with the reviews but I can tell you that we have the Coleman Xtreme and it's worth every inch of the space it takes up. Great piece of kit.

I know, but there are only 2 of us and we'll probably be putting a pint of milk and some cheese in it!
I was thinking we could put pots and pans etc in it to make it earn its space, but I'd rather have the smaller one if its any good.

Hello daisytent,

I'm with matshan on this.  I've never come across the EVO but the Coleman is a good, reliable brand; and, as my father says, what will hold a lot will hold a little - but vice versa is not true.  You may well need more capacity in the future or camp somewhere far away from convenient shops.

Surely tou'll be keeping your wine and beer cool! And what about bacon for breakfast butties? You'll soon run out of space.

Sorry but i'm with the others, we have the Coleman extreme and it does exactly what it says on the label!

We have used it for 5 days and it has kept everything fresh and frozen, i have never heard of the Evo but would highly recommend the Coleman.

Can I add that, although the outer dimensions are quite large I don't think the inner dimensions are, most of the size is insulation and I can't honestly see that it would be too big for 2 of you.

We bought the larger coleman and like you nearly fainted when we saw the size!  Used it on a long weekend away and have to say that it is the best ever.  Everything was ice cold when we needed it and we were constantly in and out of it as well.

Going away next week and planning to use it then to take the basics - milk, cheese etc and also going to make some meals and freeze them.  They will go in too and serve as cool blocks until we use them.  With a bit of luck we'll have some room left for beer :)

Can't wait to get away - am in need of getting away from the rat race.

Hmmm, cooking some meals to take with us is a good idea. Not sure if it will fit in the car though!

We precooked, bagged up and froze our meals as well and i was having to get them out to defrost for two hours before being able to cook them as they were still so frozen lol.
