Evening all.

As I do before every camping trip, I start alist of everything we will need and every time we forget something small but really essential and everytime I say I'm going to write up a check list on the old PC so we don't forget next time !!!!

As always I will NOT get to the list and yes here I am again desperatly writting on scraps of paper all that is needed.

Has anybody posted a list on here so i don't forget the small but essential thing this time !!!!!

Cheers for that, just a quick look at both those lists and I just know that I would have forgotten stuff. Don't know who puts me in charge of the important stuff !!!

That's quite a list there Val.  I'm just thinking of doing one for ours and getting oh to laminate it to keep it in the tt.  At least that's the thought at the moment!!  Might mean I won't forget my duvet next trip out, or the cork screw!!

You'll be gobsmacked at how long your own list is too, if you remember to put absolutely everything on it! I've got sublists too, of what normally resides in such containers a "laundry kit" or "tent repair kit". My TT is still awaiting a couple of small repairs so all the kit is out and down in our utility room,  so it was a good chance to overhaul thew list because I'm going to have to pack it from scratch again.

The TT stuff goes into the side lockers and kitchen unit of course, but my non-TT "lightweight" camping kit for the tent all lives and is transpoted in coolbags...light, strong and easy to pack. A modular system works well, whether you use boxes or bags.

I have just finished typing up our camping checklist and feeling very proud.  It is constructed using various scraps of paper I found kicking about which are obviously attempts to do alist last year.

May have to check out all ur various lists to check theres nothing essential missing!!

I'd love to been able to help but as my list on my puter is for my tin tentI don't reckon it'd be much help

We are super sad, our list performs a double function, as it tells us where we store it in the house during the winter.

Another tip: if you don't have a laminator put your list inside an A4 clear plastic folder pocket and use dry wipe marker to check it off on the plastic pocket. Or if your worried about the dry wipe marker coming off, use a permanent marker to check it off then when your finished write over it in dry wipe marker and the permanent marker will disapear (works for laminated sheets too); a neat little trick one of my mature students showed me after one of my younger students substituted my drywipe board marker with a permanent one. It works with the print out games sheets for kids too.

Well, reading the lists of gear has convinced me to have a separate tent named ........ "The Quartermaster Stores," what, with grub, toys, fuel etc etc etc.
