hi all , we are selling our tent and have had a couple of enquiries but they have asked for photos...we never take any photos really and havn't got any. When iI have replied saying that I havn't got any no one has got back in touch. If it were me I would ask to see it up if needs be but we are only selling for £85 not £100s so not sure if I could be bothered to put it up anyway!!
Would it put you off buying a tent if the owner hadn't got piccies?? should I put it up and take some or just offer to put it up?? Wouldn't be very pleased if I took an hour putting it up though and then they didn't have it.
Only selling cos we bought a f/c but really need the space under the stairs for the camper stuff now. Any ideas for a quick sale???
What tent is it? Could you go to the manufacturers web site or a retailer who sells the same model's web site and find a pic of the model, cut and paste the pic and put it with your advert saying that this is the model but not the actual tent?
Hi sueandjohn.
We are strange us humans, but I like to see a picture of my intended purchase, to make sure it is what I want, but what a lot of sellers do is copy a picture of the one the trade uses and put that in, but say what you have done.
Regards
Rex.

thanks for the replies...I do have a brochure piccie in our gallery that I have told people to look at...perhaps like you say it wasn't what they wanted.
When buying one I always decide which one first but I suppose everyones not the same. Thanks guys.
If we get some decent weather next week Imay put it up and take some photos. That should be interesting with our new little one just walking!!! Probably have to take it off sale cos he's ate it or something!!
As someone who is always looking at secondhand tents on ebay/freeads I ask for pictures to help me decide if I want to view it or not, but thats usually if its not a current model. I'm happy to be given a link to a website for further details though.
Mmmmm....want a little more than that as we only used for 2 weekends and overnight in garden....have got a grudge against fleebay at the mo anyway so wouldn't want them getting anything out of it!!
I wouldn't buy without pics and I'd want pics of the actual tent, not the brochure picture so that I knew exactly what I was getting. I have bought tents on Ebay before and been badly stung so perhaps it's a case of once bitten....
The second hand tent ads which work best for me on Ebay are the ones with recent photos and where the tent description is enthusiastic ie it sounds like the person who is selling really likes the tent and is only selling it because of some change of circumstances. If you do end up using trade photos then give a reason why eg bad weather, toddler underfoot. MT

thanks guys...i'm going to take some pics...never have because we just don't take pics!!!! just had another email though of someone asking me to phone them !!!! blimey...i never realised selling a tent could be so much hastle!!!! think i might just chuck it!!!!
Don't chuck it!!!! You could always put it on Freecycle or see if you're local Scout group wanted it!! With a piccie it should sell quite easily I would have thought.
