HELLO EVERY1, DON'T KNOW IF ANY OF YOU SAW MY EARLIER POST RE. THE KIDS ROOM FOR A MONTANA 6. IF ANYONE'S THINKING OF BUYING ONE, READ BELOW AND IT'LL SAVE YOU SOME GRIEF.

BASICALLY THE KIDS ROOM DOES NOT FIT THE TENT. THERE ARE CLIPS WHERE THERE SHOULD BE TOGGLES AND VICE VERSA. PLUS IN SOME PARTS THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL ON THE TENT WHERE THERE SHOULD BE EITHER A CLIP OR A CONNECTOR.

I'VE JUST FOUND OUT WHY.

OUTDOOR MEGASTORE HAVE JUST TOLD ME. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE NO DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2007 AND 2008 VERSIONS OF THE TENT, THEY HAVE JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE DESIGN OF THE BEDROOMS HAS CHANGED SLIGHTLY. THIS MEANS THAT IF YOU HAVE A 2007 MONTANA TENT, THE KIDS BEDROOM WILL NOT FIT PROPERLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE CHANGED THE DESIGN OF THE WAY THE INNER TENT CONNECTS TO THE MAIN TENT

Yes i can comfirm if you have the older version of the Monty 6 dont waste your time or money with the kids room, it simply does not fit.

I have written to Mark from Outwell and complained after making a 60mile round trip to purchase one and an hours grappling trying to put it up, after admitting total defeat i made another 60mile round trip to return it with to very very unhappy children :0(

Its a shame as it looked fantastic

I meant to venture into the garage today to check if it was on the bag, will do it tomorrow. If no joy will ring Go outdoors and see what they say -

I think this is a disgrace on Outwells part.All the money we pay for our tents excetra and a few months down the line things are not compatible.Good of Outwell to let us know.Why can't they make kids inners to fit pre 2008 tents?If it wasn't for the good people on this forum finding this info out then many of these inners would have to be returned un-usable.

Does anyone know if this also applies to the vermont m, just bought mine this year and daughter is desperate for the kids room but not sure if it is this years version. Any way to tell?

Hiya,yes i had same thing ive got a georgia l 2007 model and yes they dont fit many of the 2007 tents they need to have the bedrooms that clip in as mines an all in one the kids room dont fit,however if you are willing to get crafty on a 400 pound tent then gelert sell the toggels and hooks and you could sew them in if you are good with a needle.

Ive thought about it but as sons only 3 hes not ready to sleep alone yet.

i think the din pop up tents are better suited as it actually fits inside the pod.

I wrote to Mark at Outwell complaining about the missleading info the they fit all montana6 tents, i did get a reply which basically said, they only fit the new models and its up to the seller (camp shop) to inform you of this.

He said that the best thing to do is get it up anyway you can, he called it a "Retro Fit" ..lol

Sorry but i dont spend £300 on a tent a further £50 on a kids room to get the needle & thread/string out myself!!!!!

sorry to bring this up again re the kids room but ......

how would I know which model I have? - got our  Monty 6 in early May but not sure if it was last years / this years stock.. and we want the kids room....

Also there looks like 2 different styles of kids room  - 

1 style looks like an 'o' and the other looks like you could just zip it to the other half of the   existing pod in your tent to make an 'o' (1 half a kids room and 1 half a normal pod)....anyone can shed any light  I would be very grateful!
