What can you fit in the entrance bit?  Is it big enough to stand?  Could you put a couple of chairs in it?  Does the riser ground sheet stop the drafts?  Sorry for all the questions but we too are considering as a quick weekender tent.  Is it easy to put up?

I would also be interested in as to how long it takes you to erect this tent. 

It is sounding like this could be a real bargain for £60.

I bought the venture last year to use as a weekend tent for me and my 6yo. First pitch in the garden managed on my own in 40 mins. then got down to 25 on campsite - remember on my own - 6yo tends to run off if asked to help! With help have had this up in alot less.

Its a great tent, i tend to use one side of sleeping pod for double airbed which we sleep on and other half ( its divided by a curtain) for storage/dressing. tis leaves living area clear for chairs, kitchen bits etc - although i always have kitchen outside for safety you could fit in if going out. One trip we had torrential rain at breakfast so we happily fitted 3 in on chirs to eat

This is our VV500.  Probably a slightly older version but I don't think there is much difference.  Very easy to put up - just like a large bivvy.

Having read your replies the only doubt in my my mind is whether this will be sufficiently big enough for 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 8).  Maybe I should be buying something a little larger??  Has anyone out there got one who has 2 children?

I have a husband and two kids of 11 and 6 and frankly, though I think it's a lovely tent, there's no way I'd cram into it with my family for a weekend. The usual rule of thumb for berth size is for a weekend tent, no of people +2 berth size: for longer, no of people +4. We had a Vango Oregon 600 as a weekend tent, now we have an Oregon 800. (Current equivelent is the Albany.) Easy to put up and plenty of living space for these rainy days.

If you wanted a dirt cheap bargain equivelent, have a look at the Lichfield Commanche. Don't worry about disreputable Ebay sellers in this case btw...these folk are Duncan's of Wishart, a very reputable Scots camping firm. They've also got the 2007 Vango Oregon 800, which has a SIG if you prefer. Both of these tents would go up in about 20-25 minutes, given a bit of practice.
