stayed at the Horse and jockey last night. In a tiny field, no shower, no hot water and 3 kids!! The owners were away so weren't serving food.
However, we all enjoyed it soooooooo much can't wait to go next weekend, hopefully book kingsbury in time.
The best thing was cooking outside, my step-daughter wants to prepare loads of food for barbeque next time.I feel great after all that fresh air and wearing no make-up. We lived on sausages and bacon-wasn't very prepared.
We met 2 lovely blokes in a caravan, they were so friendly and helpful and let the kids run around with their 3 dogs and offered us chairs and wine, even helped put up the tent!!
Gonna' start looking for a woodland site - the kids are getting brave, they all refused to sleep in the two-man tent, we had to put it in the big tent in the middle but now they want to "rough it"!
Thanx to everyone for your advice,
Shelly
