Just bought a second hand pyramid and she is a beauty but...

There are no instructions so we gave it a try and dont think we quite got it right lol

It has no pyramid pole... 3 metal arches...

The people we bought it from told us to start at the back and work forwards so we did but...

The front (which can be put either at the front or further back to create a canopy) was no place close to the floor. We adjusted the poles outwards but then the whole shape of the tent changed and didnt look right.

What are we doing wrong?

Got a gorgeous tent at a totally amazing price and cant get the thing to go up !

Any advice and tips appreciated

Or will pay for plane ticket if someone wants to come demonstrate lol (joking)

Hi Karin

Have a look on the De Waard website at their pyramid tents, there are usually instructions that you can download about how to put it up and pack it away.  I know yours is not the same make, but I should think the principals would be the same.

I have already sent De Wit an email asking for instructions but have no idea if they will be able to help or how long it will take them to reply but meanwhile De Waard it is.

I should have thought of that.. think I am frustrated as the tent didnt go up how it was meant to .

If I a not mistaken ( and I often am lol) , all the De Waard tents have SIGS so I assume they are pitched differently? They say to lay out the canvas and peg the corners but as ours does not have a SIG i assume it doesnt work that way?

We really should have asked for a complete demonstration when we got it this afternoon but that is what you get when you go to buy a tent and there is international football on the television huh,

They said start with the back archway and work forward. Also peg starting at the back.

We thought we had it kind of right until we noticed that the front mudflaps did not even tough the floor and they are supposed to tuck inside !

Trying to correct that.. well that is when it all went wrong

Feeling pretty stupid now but if we do ever get it up then sure I will post a picture.

Karin you're right, De Waard have SIGs and you have to peg it down flat before you start putting the poles in and erecting the canvas.

I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually.

Typical of football to cause the problem!!  Still no one in England will be interested in football this summer - will they? 

We spoke to  a guy at De Wit today and he gave us some pointers. We are going to try again sometime this week,

So if a message appears on here in Dutch then safely it is me screaming and cursing as it didnt go well lol
