We have been putting our Montana 6 up following this method - we cant do it as quickly as he can but it is quick! (although it wasnt when we were on top of a hill and it was very windy!)
We also follow the 'packing a Montana 6' video and it really does go back in the bag very easily!
We watched this video before we went to somerset last week and we used the same technique to put up and take down out monty 6.
The tent went up a lot easier and I am delighted to say we got the tent back in the bag without any problems first time! I even managed to tie the straps around it just as he did on the video.
The first time we tried to get out monty 6 back in the bag it took us 2 hours and a lot of shouting!
I plan to use the same method for putting ours up, but not sure about the packing upone - the pins are folded into the fabric which worries me a bit. Having said that, the desperate shoving and pushing to get ours packed probably does more damage than a mere ring and pin ever could !
been doing it that from the day we got ours 3 years ago, as for packing it if you want the ring and pins not in the middle fold the thing in half then they be all on one side.
never had any issues with any tent going back in it`s bag it came out of it its going back in it.
We've only looked at the video on Outwell's site .... they do crack me up. There's the tent all laid out on the floor, there's a man pushing a pole in and lo, in the next shot, there's the tent standing up! Vango do much better videos with commentary too. I'll check out the Youtube one as we are thinking of buying the Monty 6 ...

We just bought ours today and have put it up the garden using the you tube video. It was loads easier than expected but did take us a lot longer than eight minutes. I want to know where the blokes going next weekend then he can put my tent up!
Well me and the better half give it a go and it is far easier than our method, putting away much easier too,
As for beating the time set by that guy it was never a thought but we did it much quicker than before,
He did put it up with no wind on a totally flat pitch and it was a yeoman video so im guessing he has erected many a monty in his time, i did find it easier to zip the tent back up once the front and back poles up which helped against the breeze, as for putting it away much quicker but again that guys clear experience shows on the video, not 5 mins but quicker without a cross word which must be a record
Thanks to all looking forward to court farm in cornwall come august now
