Have you tried a Picasso forum? We've used similar ones in the past for Golf GTi and Vauxhall Nova with many helpful people on there to ask
Maybe try this one... http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/index.php?s=7454807b2562165db556490b36b51295&showforum=9

I'll bet he needed the window open when checking the electrics were working, but you cant shed any blame on the mechanic if you failed to tell him your window didn't work. The rear window on our Audi hasn't work for the past 4 months, it literally collapses when you press the button, but I wouldnt even think about blaming someone for opening it if I hadn't told them about it!
I've already said i didn't blame them, just thought they could take SOME responsibility. I would be happy with a reply to my email, just an apology for any inconvenience this has caused me. I reiterate had I known they needed to open the window I would have told them, I'm not a mechanic - hey shoot me!!
I've now arranged for the repair to be done. I would have been getting it done anyway, but preferably at a later date when I actually had the money.
I dont mean this to come across as smug but I suggest you read your reply and try to understand how silly it might come across ;)
1) You dont blame them, yet you would like them to accept part responsibility - for what exactly!?
2) You want them to apologise - even though they haven't done anything wrong!
3) You claim to be inconvenienced - well thats only by your own error in failing to tell them about the window being faulty!
The only reason I havent fixed mine is because I've not had the time, but before spending money on anything else on my car the window is my ultimate priority. So sorry if this reply sounds rather arsey but its common sense really. It just sounds like you cannot accept that the only person that made a mistake with this is you, certainly not the garage!

Maybe they opened the window to communicate to each other if they were checking the electrics had been wired properly, ie they had hitched it up to a trailer and were checking the lights etc?
I am afraid I would have told them not to open the window when I left the car but how could they possibly have known it wouldn't work?
Ali
Me too. I'd have put a sticker on it (mind you, this didn't stop my idiot BiL from opening our passenger window, which had a similar problem).
