hi all

what do you do with old tents,i know there was a post here some where but cannot find it now not to good on these computer thingies.as i have a lichfield 7 berth frame tent which is just sitting doing nothing its been used about a dozen times, and it seems a waste not to use it,its complete with one very small repair a hole about the size a match<somebodys gazebo blew down say know more>,so if there any groups out there cubs etc,or somebody who wants to start camping and moneys a bit tight you can have the tent for free if you can collect it as i would rather somene get sum pleasure out of it than it just sit there,i will check the tent out before some one came just to make sure its ok its been stored for two years,i lve about 10 miles from warwick.so if it can help anyone out there just let me know.

Shame I am up in manchester as I would of had it off you if you was offering and it could sit on the back seets of a car, no trailer, no towbar.

Just the thing my nephew and his girl need.

We use to use Freecycle but it has lost its way we feel, just full of freeloaders and more wanted ads than offers, (round here anyway) we now give anything we don't need to people we know or the same charity shop (Barnardos) then we know it's not going to end up at a car boot or on fleabay!

Have you tried your local scout or guide groups. They may be happy to take it off your hands.

You could try Gumtree if you want to give it away, or sell it on Fridayads - lots of people still want frame tents,

HI Geoff

Have you still got it?

If so i would this would be great for my Brother and his wife, They have been wanting to start camping with us but with 2 school age kids and a new baby, the initial costs of setting up is putting them off. I have donated alot of my "didn't really need this but bought it anyway" stuff to them but they are missing a tent big enough for them all.

When they are ready to purchase another i would happily offer it back on here or to a local scout group.

Anyways if you still have it let me know.

Are you north or south of Warwick?

Thanks in advance.
