I'd like to see tents without vehicles seperated!
As a very lightweight camper, can get a bit fed up being surrounded by vehicles, caravans, campervans etc!
Actually some sites do this
One of the reasons that my number of wild camping nights is increasing( currently about 25%)
Hi ian

I was in a really nice mixed site in Brittany last year, really laid back... a few caravans a few campervans, and mainly tents. I walked accross the site towards the nearby village and what did I hear coming from one of the caravans...the bloody theme music to Coronation street....in bleedin France!!! I mean come on, ive no problem with old Coro but I have to admit I found it quite a depressing sound. Someone was sitting in a tin box in a beautiful part of the world, shut off from everything, watching a british soap. I drank more red than usual that night!!

I can't say that any of the sites I visit have any meaningful separation between campers and caravanners (we all use the same water, waste, toilet, shower and washing up facilities). Though a couple of C.& C.C. 'Club sites' I've been too definitely seem to separate the two (with the caravans getting the nicer pitches!), I rarely use them, so it doesn't bother me unduly...
I mostly use C.S.s, although some of these do tend to keep the two separate, but it depends on the numbers. If there are more tents than space allows, then tents use the 'caravan pitches' and visa versa...

Many C&CC site managers seem to think that a caravan needs a nice level pitch but a tent can be pitched anywhere. In actual fact a caravan can be levelled to some extent but a tent cannot and will not erect correctly on an uneven surface.
Evening, campers! Don't think you need segregate tin tenters from canvassers -- the more the merrier! The vast majority of outdoorsy folk are tiptop, and you don't need to give the uptight ones even a second thought! I do look back to the sight of older vans fondly, though, as they were all sorts of shapes. Modern ones seem to look too similar and aerodynamic - almost like huge fridges lying on their side. Whoops, maybe I shouldn't have said that! Johnny
We have our tent and go camping with my parents who have a caravan, so we would not want to be split up. In fact we didn't book at site in Cromer recently because they do just this.
I have to say don't mind what type of unit we are next to but I do like the more communal atmosphere when amongst other tents as everyone tends to be outdoors and caravanners don't tend to do this so much.
We were in a field of caravans/motorhomes when we were in North Devon a couple of weekends ago and ended up pitched on our own by the 2nd night - Do you think they were trying to tell us something??
As far as noise in caravans goes my mum and dad had a caravan and they always thought it was noisier being next to a tent due to zips going up and down in the middle of the night!!

That's exactly what I said to Mr F last summer, as we looked down on our cmap site from the top of Wether Fell! Great minds.
My friend is very hacked off. The people who bought the house next door to her have got a huge tourer parked in their drive and it completely obscures her view in one direction. She's a nosey old bat, and likes to see who's coming along the road, so she finds this very hard to bear.
I'll have to tell her about the fridge thing - she's likely to go roundand ask them if the have room in it to store some beer next time she has a party!
