We have a Royal Montpellior 9 dome tent and we are looking for some usefull advice on how to get the outer fly sheet over the iner tent i am around 5.11 and my wife is 5.4 we did this last year for the first time and it was not any fun. We are off camping in Weymouth very soon so any help would be great.
Hi Colin.
Way out of my depth tunnel and dome tents, but this post will keep you up front for an answer
Good luck
Rex.
PS Is it you have trouble lifting the flysheet due to the height of the dome,If so Wilkingsons sell extending domestic close line poles with a plastic type attachment on top that may be useful'

I'm not sure about a 9 man dome but with ours we lay it upside down on the grass next to the inner, one of us at the front, one at the back, pick up the farthest corners and run whilst lifting letting the wind catch it. It usually does the trick. (although sometimes goes to far and the whole thing follows us right over it! Lol.)
The traditional method is to weight the ends of a couple of guylines with something small and non-pointy (like a clothes peg) and throw them over the dome, then use them to pull the flysheet over gently, with one person supporting the weight.
