Hi Everyone,

We have a montan 6 and am very very happy with it. I have seen the new Outwell Kids Pod availble for all the outwell tents but don't know anyone that has used one. Are they worth it or is it going a bit over the top.....

Love to hear peoples thoughts

Cheers Flip Flopper

There is a thread (I'll try and link) about how these don't fit some of the Montys.

Hi Bernie thanks, I think I do remember that post, I was more wondering about whether the kids in general do like them and that it would be money well spent...

Hi Flipflopper and welcome to the site

Can't really answer your query as we don't have one of these.  We have a 2007 Bear Lake and they are only compatible for the 2008 models.  Have seen them at shows though and they look good, my kids (6 and 4) were taken with them and begged for one.  Might have been tempted to induldge them if they would have fitted.

Does anyone know the best place to buy one from?

My two (age 4 and 2) love theirs. When it was raining last time we camped as we were packing up they played in there for two hours. It comes with a ball game and they love their own space lol. They were playing imaginatively in there as well, pretending they were in the jungle. For us it was a good buy.

To tell if your Monty is the right year you should check next time what type of attachments you have inside for it.  I can't remember exactly, maybe someone here can check the other thread but couldn't you tell the age by seeing if you have buckle/toggles or the other fastening clip method.  That way you could see if its compatible.  Does tat make sense?

Ours (aged 7 & 5) saw one at a tent display and that was it, they've talked of nothing else since.  The price depends on which tent you need the pod for but generally, worldofcamping.co.uk and outdoormegastore.co.uk do the best prices.

Thanks Angie, Have just taken a look at the World of Camping web site (very good) and have ordered a pod.... Will let everyone know how we get on with it as soon as we have a chance to pitch Monty and let the children loose in the Tent Jungle!

Many Thanks again...
