No fraid not you'll need a proper calor/butane bottle. I'm sure someone will advise you properly about these shortly.
If all that sounds like too much hassle for your weekend then buy a 'suitcase' stove (one ring burner comes in a carry case) which you use with those cans. Like you I bought one of those double ring and grill jobbies not knowing what to use with it about three years ago and I still havean't used it! I love the suitcase stoves and have cooked some amazing meals on them. One of those and a disposable bbq is all you need for a weekend I reckon.
ps the suitcase things cost about a tenner.
