Agree with most, we had the Vario 600 (Think that was what it was called) we bought ours because my had bought one and we liked it, two others in our group of campers also bought one each, these were then resold to others when they all bought bigger ones, we progressed to a larger Sunncamp family 600 and then to our current tent which is the same but the PLUS version, built in ground sheet and an extra section and small storage extension at the side. Best one yet.
The Sunncamp range we all like, not as strong as a Cabanon but you do yet what you pay for. Care when erecting is the name of the game. Treat them with care and respect and they will last you a long time. We had four inches of snow at Easter, bendy poles could not take it and the roof collapsed. Slight bend in one of the tension poles but other than that it survived. What more can I say.
We've just ordered an Evo 600 and it should be with us on Wed. We looked at a 400 on Sun and was very tempted but I was slightly concerned with whether it would be big enough if it was raining all day and we were stuck inside (but after reading the nookie thread, maybe I was mistaken)
I haven't been camping for many years (16) so we're technically newbies.
We bought the 600 for just that reason. Although we were suppose to be downsizing due to the kids no longer coming with us the smallest I could go was a 6 berth!
We have a Sunncamp Pathfinder 400,pic in my profile. I am surprised there are so few of these around since they are great value for money.Ours has stood up to all the rubbish weather we have had so far lol !!
Bought an Evo 400 this summer. Only put it up once in the garden to try it out. Off to Penybont-Bala this Saturday for 6 nights. First time out this year so loking forward to it.
------------- Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Evolution 400 here, a great little tent for short breaks, used it three times already this year and again next week at White Rose, Littlehampton for three nights.
HI. Just looking at getting new tent, may consider the vario 600 is it worth upgrading to the 600 Plus ?? whats the difference. Never brought second hand thinking to it this time though.
ive a suncamp festiva 12 birth, loads of room, easy to pitch, and a great tent no matter what the weather throughs at you, had it 5years and no problems, so a big thumbs up from me
We've just bought a Sunncamp Sprint and are very pleased with it. We got it a couple of weeks ago at the Wokingham Camping Exhibition and drove directly down to just outside Southampton and stayed at Sunnydale Farm C&C site, Netley, which we'd seen it on this website. The site was very clean, tidy, friendly but basic.
We are very new to all this. We camped for five days last year but borrowed everything - tent was old orange and brown canvas 70s job, OK but everything seemed rather damp.
Having seen lots of tents we loved our friend's Family Vario 6oo Plus best of all, so decided a Sunncamp was for us. Having looked through the Sunncamp brochure the Sprint with its super spacious 3m square living area and 4 berth sleeping pod seemed to to be right for us.
We're off to Devon on Friday for a week, to really test it out.
I love this site, I feel like I've joined a big family.
