Many thanks to everyone for the suggestions for drying our tent.
We decided to hang it in the stair well of the flats and it has taken 2 days to dry and last night we covered the lounge with it and now it is bone dry including dry guy ropes!

I shall be trying out my theory tomorrow, we are testing our little tent in my mums garden tonight, planning on sleeping in it, but my son is insisting on bringing the ps2 so he can go in nans and play, not what I had in mind!

I left mine laid out flat in the garage for a week and then I pitched it out in the garden today in the glorious sunshine.  It  actually dried out fully in the garage but I wanted to air it out a bit.  Thank goodness it's now all packed away and ready for the next trip! (had to do it alone as hubby ill in bed!)

 i work in a body shop so if my tent gets wet i will put it in the oven where we dry the paint on cars
