We are in the opposite position. We booked our pitch over a year in advance of our holiday, because we particularly like that pitch. The one next to us is slightly smaller and odd shaped. We were emailed by the site and asked if we would swap as two families wanted to be together. We offered to swap to the pitch the other side which was the same as ours but would not move onto the smaller one, which is also on the corner and entrance to the dog walk so quite a busy area. They only wanted us to move to that pitch, although it would have made no difference whatsoever if we'd moved to the other one, the families would have still been together. The site only requested it and put no pressure on us but I'm now wondering if they went ahead and booked, and if things might be slightly awkward.
I might add I wouldn't have a problem with people either side of us a long as they weren't cutting across our pitch.

Okay..I'd better tell you that we are going to Little Kings near Tenby...I apologise in advance if you are piggy in the middle Don't say you weren't warned.
The lady there has been helpful but I think because of how long we are there and how long they are there she can't swap it around. She has looked at it but maybe I could contact her again and see if anything has changed.
To be honest I think it would probably pee me off if there was lot of cutting across the pitch or calling across ,I would feel awkward .I am sure if you explain the situation when you get there and say if your annpoying them to let you know ,im sure that will make things a lot more comfortable for everyone .You might end up al sat havign a drink an enjoying each others company as a group of 3 units rather than 2

Lynne
Not us then Lynne, we're in Cornwall
I'm sure everything will work out fine, and hopefully will be the same for us.

We were in that situation. It wasn't the to ing and froing that got to us it was the " who wants beans" etc constantly called out across two pitches. In the end at about 7 am when they shouted "who wants a bacon butty" John to my embarassment yelled "me with tomato sauce" well a sheepish women appeared with the butty and after that things were fine.
To be honest, i wouldn't be keen on being piggy in the middle. We don't go to places with set pitches so it is less likely to happen to us. I was wondering why the campsite hadn't attempted to ask the people to swap but if you are camped at different times it could be like one of those puzzles where you have to move all the pieces to make a picture!

Or maybe like us the site did ask but they didn't want to. Could be a difference in pitch size and shape like us. Like I said, ours was booked over a year in advance due to the popularity of the particular area on a popular site. It did make me feel quite uncomfortable, and we won't find out until next week if the other people actually booked. In this case it was the sites error as they had disregarded a season booking so couldn't fit these two families in together. They did offer to compensate us if we moved onto the smaller corner pitch, but we wanted the pitch we had booked.
