Hi, looking for some advice from anyone who has an aerobed active, Am weighing up the aa or a fat airic. Think the aa would be best for me but want to know does it need insulating? I wondered if because of the quality of construction whether the usual probs with cold air still apply? Any advice very welcome as an expensive purchase and do not want to get it wrong! If  have to take loads of extra insulating gear for the aerobed would prob go for fatty instead.

We have both Fat Airics and the Aerobed Active.  During a week away I found I had to top up the aerobed every couple of days.  We used to sleep on the fat airics but now the wife is heavily pregnant I got an aerobed to make things a bit more comfortable for her. 

The first time I slept on the aerobed I hated the cold feeling that I felt coming through from it.  So this time I went prepared with picnic blankets for underneath and then a fleece matress cover on top with a fitted sheet on top of that.  With our king size duvet makes it lovely and snuggly now.

Fat Airics are very comfortable though so I still dont think I can differentiate between the two apart from the fact with the fat airics your virtually lying on the ground and miss that elevated feeling of a normal bed.

Only used our's indoor so far ..... but will have silver back blanket underneath and fleece on top when camping, just for good measure lol

We use duvet not sleeping bags ....

We have 2 Aero Bed single actives,what can I say............brilliant.We put picnic blankets under ours and those cheap fleece throws on the top.They are really comfy and you can have them as firm or as soft as you prefer.
