Seen a post refering to putting a picnic rug under the air mattress to stop the cold but went to buy a couple and they didn't have the silver "foil" backing but just a sort of black waterproof (?) backing. Would this still work or does it need to be the foil ones. If so, any ideas where I could get a couple cheap??
We off to Wales on Thu so any ideas would be helpful.
not sure if they still have them in stock, but Aldi/Asda/Tesco have all been selling them.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.

Discussed aon another thread in th Equipment forum.
I was all set to buy about 4 from Poundland but when I saw them at the weekend thought better of it. Might only be a £1 but they are very small so would end up buying probably twice the number.
Instead, going to lay a fleece blanket on the top of the airbed (Coleman Comfort) and buy some good quality fleece blankets from Rosebys for £3.99 (reduced) to go over the top of us.
Hi scotzlynnie, we also just have the black backing ones and we are fine with them, Dunelm were selling them on offer, I think around £4. We also use the kids old cot sheets on top of the airbeds, they fit a treat to give you a bit more insulation!
The picnic blanket we use under our air bed doesn't have any backing at all, it is an old woolen tartan one that used to belong to my parents and that does us just fine!
hi, i've got both foil, and the black backed ones, and i must say that the black backed ones are far better . you can get then from any home bargains shop for about £3.99, these are really good quality ones so good that i have even made a carpet for my tent with them .hope this helps.
