I've literally only just done a search on the forum about this - there are loads of discussions about it here. It seems that many people don't bother with insurance for tents as the premiums are so high compared to the replacement value. I don't think we're going to bother - all in we've probably spent about £400 on our equipment, and a rough insurance premium I got using an online quote was £47! Hardly seems worth it.

mines £43 yearly for £1000 of tent and stuff... cant for life me remeber who with , without searching through paper work , but i just googled them when i took it out

i use the tent at least 15 a year so get my use out of it

also check your house insurance some have started covering it or it could be covered with your '' belongings away from house''

Try the Camping and Caravanning Club,they are very reasonable .

I did try using search, but it keeps telling me to try again when it isn't so busy! Given it is the school holidays and I was searching in a brief respite from my nearly 5 year old I doubt I would remember later!

I am fairly sure it isn't covered under our household insurance but I will get DH to double check.

We didn't bother with insurance last year, but now I am adding more and more to our kit I am beginning to think it could be worth while, I will go and have a read of the thread posted above.
