20m should be fine - I think a site owner would be stretching a point if he sold a pitch "with electric" & no socket within 20m!

Well, I've been tight on one occasion and another occasion a site just starting to take tents again pre-warned us that the EHU socket was over 20m away.  I'd say it was better safe than sorry. If it gives you flexibility then that's a bonus also.

With so many tents wanting EHU and the size of tents growing every season you may need to get a longer cable. We have several extension leads on site incase peoples are to short and we find now that they are getting used a lot more often!

Hi Jaymo
Welcome to UKCS.
We have found over the years, it pays to have the standard hook up lead as well as the RCD lead. This will give you more scope for choice of pitches even to been in another field with the EHU cable past through the edge or fence. They cost around £20 I think and just plug into each other.
Enjoy your camping and your stay on here.
Regards
Rex.
