Hello,

I am going camping for the first time, just a quick question (probably quite a daft one). On a campsite for say three days, it is okay to leave the tent & air matresses insitu whilst you go off somewhere, I mean you don't have to take it down every day? I would not leave anything else, as it can all go in the car, but I was not sure.

Any advice welcome
Thanks
mole94

Hi Mole94,

Definitely leave it up (it's expected that's what you would do) - and yes put any valuables in the car.

Hi mole94,

As long as you've paid for your pitch for the amount of time you plan to stay on site then yes, you leave your tent pitched and everything in/around it.

Enjoy your trip!! :-)

Nic

(Apart from valuable stuff of course - you need to be taking that with you on your day trips)

See here. You can pretty much leave all your stuff when you go out for the day- on the sites we've stayed at anyway. Have yet to read the blue dolphin post!!!

Just make sure you lock any valuables in the car.

Just read the Blue Dolphin post and sadly I kind of expect that sort of thing to happen on sites like Haven run sites.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that there is generally a large clubhouse with family entertainment on these sites and amusement arcades, they tend to attract a (very small) minority of clients who have youngsters and who leave them to their own devices. ( and before everyone with teenagers shouts at me, I repeat that it is a small minority.)

The young 'uns then tend to group together and can get up to all sorts of mischief.

Sad, but an undeniable truth..........
