We are camping for the second time this weekend in Anglesey and the weather forecast does not look good!!!! I'm a little bit worried about pitching the tent if it is windy, we have the Khyam Michigan 12. Any tips please?

The Khyam video for the rigidomes says to guy it and peg it as you go.

Hi debs.
Wind and lightweight tents don't mix well. as you are new to it I would ask for help before you start, most other campers will be willing to help get it erected and your guys in for you.

i definately would ask for help if someone asked me i would only be to willing to give assistance.

two guys recently helped us funny really must of looked like a right couple of muppets i have a folding camper now, really raining hard had to get the thing up as getting dark the pitch we were allocated was on a slope each time we tried to push it up said slope fell flat on my face that is until two nice gentlemen stopped to give us a hand so even in bad weather people will help.

Never pitch against the wind (and have th3e tent blown in the face) but work with it. use strong holding pegs to secure the tent as good as possible, then "finetune" it after it is more or less completely pitched without the danger of blowing towards Northern-Ireland (or even up the Snowdonian Mountains!)

But, as Rex said, there's no shame in asking for help. Most of us would love to lend a hand and it greatly enhances your social introduction on the campsite.
