Hi all,   Setting off to mersea island in 3 weeks but need to use the parents large backgarden to put tent up and waterproof it ( last time we used it, it was leaking from the seams ..only a few years old,so it's still in good nick apart from this!) but just wondering where to get the waterproofing stuff from and would it be safe for us and the 3 children 9,3 and 9 months to sleep in it over nite after we have sprayed it?  (i'm Worried it might be too fummy )Parents live in a lovely remote village 50 miles from us with a half an acre garden so am hoping to spread out the the summer hols by camping there a few day's before we go!  cheeky i know ! but resourceful [;)]

Could be good news to save you some money

If the tent leaked from the seams it is likely that the stitch holes have been stretched under tension, erect the tent and seal the seams with seam sealant, let it dry thoroughly then test it with the hose pipe, you may find that it does the job

Hi Jules.
Welcome.
Follow caster advice, very few tents leak through the material.
Regards
Rex.
