Stubcroft Farm Chichester Hants, Large tent (6 man Vango Amazon) 2 adults £12 - 2 kids £6 -  dog £1 - 2 cars £2 per night bargain. cheap as chips.......um that reminds me must start her ladyships tea.......

Forgive me for being picky, but as an adopted Southsaxon, I feel obliged to point out that Chichester is in Sussex (county town of West Sussex, no less!)

That wouldn't work out that cheap for us. Although there's only 2 of us, we have 2 dogs, so it would come to £16 with the car. That's more than we'd pay at most C&CC sites as members.

We're off to the Bat & Ball near Billingshurst this weekend (Graffham being fully booked) - £7.50 per pitch per night, no extras. Now THAT'S cheap! It's basic, but the showers etc are nice and clean, and it's very handy for the pub.

£15 per night is a sort of mental barrier for me, like £2 for a pint of beer. More than that and I think it's expensive!

Really down to individuals and what they are prepared to pay, the next holiday we go on we are paying £77 per night for our pitch , away for 15 nights, that price includes hugh tent, kitchen tent, pup tent, two cars, 4 adults and 7 children on one pitch so £7 each per night.  We are more than happy with facilities and pitch size so prepared to pay that for main holiday, other weeks away we have obviosuly gone cheaper.

When you have large family we would no way be able to afford b &bs or abroad so camping works for us.
