Hello again. We have just returned from a fab weekend at Ad Astra campsite on Anglesey. When we arrived it was very windy and raining hard and it didn't look like it would stop. Luckily four people came over to help and it didn't take too long to pitch the tent.

The onlly problem was that when we went inside there was water leaking through the tent everytime there was a gust of wind. It seemed to be coming in from a few places. It didn't rain the day after so not sure if it is just a one off? Any advice please?

Is it a new tent or has it been sat in a garage or the like for a while...if it has ..it may of 'dried' out...best bet would be to erect it again at home or on a nearby park...and give it a waterproofing....is it cotton/canvas or nylon ?

The instructions for new tent tell you to wet them through before you use them then they are weathered and the material will close any gaps if they are leaking after this  take them back

Sorry it's taken so long to reply.

It is a new tent and it was only the second time we used it. We did have some rain the first time but it wasn't very heavy so it didn't leak. It is a nylon tent.

I think we are going the first weekend in September so will just wait to see what happens. Maybe the best thing to do would be to give the supplier a call if it leaks again, we got it from Singers Outdoors who were really helpful so I think I'll do that.
