I hate washing up at home, but when camping I enjoy it!  Been thinking about this and I've come to the conclusion its because theres usually other people there doing their dishes and we're all busy and chatting whereas at home I'm alone in the kitchen and its a chore,

You do the washing up when camping?? That's what your kids are for, it's the only job they have when we go!!

Oh no, no no, no, no. Definitely not! I cook, he washes pots. Fair deal? If it were the other way round we'd either live on beans on toast (think of the aroma in a confined space after a couple of days lol!) or have food poisoning!

By the way tesco value dishwasher tabs are dirt cheap and work just as good, so do the ones at the local pound shop. Just as cheap as a bottle of fairy but without the hassle. I

PS. If anyone knows of portable dishwashers to add to my "glamping" equipment my husband will be eternally grateful lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peggy. The easiest way to remove food from the pots and plates is to put them in fromt of the dog....will be licked sparkly clean after a couple of minutes...

Well my washing machine has just packed up but I dont think my neighbours would be too impressed if I asked them to use theirs  

The last time we went camping there were 3 women at the washing up station and we were just commenting that there were no men doing the washing up when a man walked up with a washing up bowl - he saw us all chatting and turned away and left. I think we must have frightened him away

Try Tescos own brand washing tablets - work just as well as the branded ones. I have also heard that the Lidl/Netto/Aldi ones are just as good too but havent actually tried them yet - but anything is better than actually doing the washing up at home
