Hi. we were due to go to Broadway House in chedder tomorrow but have been watching the weather on the Met office site and it shows heavy rain up to wednesday. I have just changed my booking to next sunday in the hope the weather will be better. I'd rather be at home in the dank rain than huddled in a damp tent wondering wether to go home.
Did I make the right choice?

we were due to come down from scotland to cheshire for the chelford traction engine rally but its too wet for us. the event will be a washout if its been raining anyhow. Been looking forward to it but dont fancy a soaking wet tent and all of us in a tent. I dont mind a bit of rain but it looks like its going to be constant and the ground is already boggy.
We're bound by Richard's holidays. OK at a push he could change them, as he is agency, but the kids are really looking forward to going on Monday, and as I have pulled my guts out trying to get the stuff washed, ironed and packed, we will be off. Camper is loaded with board games, jigsaws, colouring, and we will be taken a larger than usual collection of DVDs just in case. We will dodge showers, and just chill out.
You are very lucky that the site let you change the booking at short notice and they had space for next week as well - but what are you going to do if the weather forecast is even worse for then? Are you going to try to re-arrange it again? I don't think the site will be quite as accommodating if you do.

Well, as I only have 2 weeks off we will have to go any way. I am taking a gamble but looking at the the reports it really does look bad. All our planned activities would be a wash out and we don't have a laptop for DVDs.
So its guaranteed wash out or hope it gets better. lol

we have always said that if it is bad weather we wont go and loose our deposit, but we have always ended up going and having great time whatever the weather. i must say though that there is always about 12 of us that go with 2 large tents, enough for us all to sit in and make our own entertainment. theres usually always a break in the weather to get out and explore.
We are off to Weymouth tomorrow for six days, hoping the weather will improve but if not we will just make the mosr of it. We went away last week for a couple of days and it was forcast for rain and we ended up having to put sun screen on!!!
I'm hoping the weather will be nice from August 17th onwards to the bank holiday weekend! were camping at paington, Mind we camped end of July at Bude in the thunder storms and loved it!! even though we don't mind the rain, it would be nice to have a week in the sun shine!
