hi all

   just back from what will be the one and only camping trip this year,work commitments.there were a lot of 1st on this trip so hear we go,1st time without the girls in 18 years just oh and me for the first few days i thought i had gone deaf perfect bliss and no rows.1st time with a nylon dome tent a coleman salt lake,great tent no problems in a couple of nasty storms but i like the feel and smell of real canvas,so the jury is out on that for a while.1st time for over20 years not been on an all singing and dancing site and no ehu,loved every second of the stay,went to breck farm what a great site for children,the loo,s were a bit grim but the new block is well under way now.and finally after trying to convince my better oh to get a night time bucket,:i have a bladder like an elastic band;she relented i must have gone to every shop in a 20 mile radius to find a bucket with a lid and then i found one i came back like two year old with a new toy,so set it up in pride of place and it sat there all white and calling out use me use me,so i relented and gave in to the calling,now it was late dark and pouring down,so i used the bucket with a great deal of satisfaction,then went outside to do all the manly things,checking the guys,pegs and stuff,only to hear the oh shout this tents leaking,then to hear its not rain water you dirty s##t,i went in to find a large pool running from the bucket,after all these years of wanting a bucket i pick the only one with a bloody hole in the bottom,luckily it was only the bucket that had to sleep outside that night.

what she does not know yet is that i have been out this morning and bought a toilet tent and a small porta potti and hid it in the trl for next time, i got a small porta pottie because i think i know where she going to try and stuff it when she sees it.
