Just wondering what websites others find to be most accurate for the weather forecast. I use BBC Weather, MSN weather and Metcheck - they all say different things but on the whole, Metcheck seems to be the most spot on. Any others to recommend?

(I know a few of you would say ignore the forecast and just go anyway !)

Metcheck seems much more accurate than the BBC.

When I saw the topic of this I thought you were asking for a campsite with reliable weather haha

OH uses Met Office, I use BBC as I find it easier to navigate- just what I'm used to I suppose. Mind you I think Met Office is more reliable which is probably more important!!!

i use uk weather.com gives you an hr by hr weather check and also a 10 day weather check that regulary updates itself

I use metcheck. Used to use the BBC but found that they're generally wrong. Metcheck seems far more accurate.

Choose precipitation and then the first line and click on the hours. This is far better for UK weather - as long as you only want to see the blue for rain!

Doesn't matter which one you use at the moment, for the UK they all say "Rain"

You want real weather forecast, from someone who has been camping and hiking for over thirty years and has really experienced climate change? Someone who was a hour late to meet their mates in the pub tonight because it was too extreme to leave the house in the monsoon until a lift was available?

We use metcheck. Conditions can change quite variably in different areas. I've just returned from Charmouth, Dorset where we had gorgeous sunshine for 2 days and a strong breeze coming in from the sea, pleasant and perfectly fine to sit out in.  Inland by a few miles, it was chucking it down as all the websites predicted. However due to the breeze, the rain clouds were held back literally just over the coastline, so we were very lucky!

Best way to check the weather for accuracy is to look out of your window - its a better bet you will get the right information
