I'm going to try pitching next to our tent. so come out of side door on Venture and then into day tent a few metres away, with the cooker backing onto the hedge. That way the front of tent will nearly be level with the day tent if you get my drift.
Did the "in front", where the tent door opened into the day tent, but my husband is a bugger for zipping eveything up which became a right pain when 3 lots of zips to get out. That was in our diablo so used the back door most of the time. If the pitch had been bigger i'd have tuened the tent 90 degs abnd had the back door going into the day tent.
