I have a 5 year old Outwell Colorado 5. Last year, the plastic fittings at the top of the steel tent poles started deforming, and recently started snapping.

Has anyone else had this problem or know where I can get replacement fittings from?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately it's the fittings at the top which has been giving me trouble rather than the steel sections or the flexible fibreglass poles.

Hi child,

Had the same problem with my own Colorado 5 in high winds this Whitsun. Sadly I was off site when a huge gale broke, otherwise would have been able to save the tent.

New Colorado's have a spares pack which includes replacement fittings lke the one you need, so I would expect any Outwell dealer to be able to sort you out.

You can find a dealer via www.outwell.com, and give them a ring.

Hope this helps.

We had a Colorado and all the joints on one side went in a mild wind which we think just caught the tent wrong. Took the tent back as it was it's first outing and have been on the slippery slope of tent buying ever since!!

Hi
But I see you now have one of the best designed and made tents ever. With your Andorra

Try emailing Mark Jennings at Oase. He was very helpful when we had a problem with one of our poles. He may be able to help you out.

Best of luck.

Granted my Colorado died in a gale this year, but I truly can't say it owed me anything after 5 seasons hard use.

I can see though why Outwell now give spares of the plastic sleeve that joins the metal side poles with the bendy roof ones.

Update

I managed to get a load of spares from millets - I didn't have to pay postage or mailing costs so didn't cost too much. I'll be very happy if I get another 5 years out of it!

Nettiew - you can get a replacement on order from Outwell via millets (or another dealer) - but it won't be cheap.

Thanks All!
