Due to go to Keswick on BH Monday for 10 days. We were there the same 10 days last year and only had half a day of rain over the whole holiday. I'll be praying for sunny weather but I'll be happy with a fine first and last day while the tent goes up and down. I really couldn't care what the weather does inbetween.
Today is a fine example of changing weather. It's been raining pretty much all day here since dawn and then suddenly at around five ish the clouds cleared, the sun came out and it was lovely.
The only worry I have is how to cook if it rains? I have two stoves and a small bucket bbq. I've looked at some threads on here today and there really doesn't seem to be a perfect answer to solve the problem. I don't believe there is a porch to fit my tent so I bought two 2 metre poles with ropes and pegs so I can open and support one of the tent doors for cover, but anything more than a slight drizzle with no wind and I think we'll drown...
We won't be cancelling, but may swap the walking boots and bats & balls for a laptop, dvd player and paperbacks.
