Hi we had a wander around one a few weeks ago - Denby Dale i think it was. There were discounts on tents and we were told that by the last couple of days they will sell the display models but you have to take them down yourself (small price to save quite a lot though i thought).

There were discounts on accessories but these to me didnt seem to be any cheaper than you can get on line and they dont sell off the display accessories.

We also found that the choice of tents wasnt that great they seem to stock alot of their own brand ones and alot of the the more pricier Outwells etc, we didnt see anything middle of the range that wasnt from their own tents...hope this helps and enjoy ...its always good to get new ideas and an idea of size etc..

Went to one up in Yorkshire and was very dissapointed. The tents on show had been trampled to death and were filthy and ripped. Wouldnt have considered buying any of them tbh. Also the prices seemed high compared to doing a bit of shopping on the www. Never again to one of their shows if that was an example !

At least you get to see the tents in the flesh though!

Web prices are often lower than a company that pays for shops and hires a field to do shows, cos this costs more, surely that's obvious?

This is the whole point of the internet revolution!

Savvy users can see the tents then pile home and buy cheap off the web, although it means that the exhibitions and shops will get fewer and fewer.

If you are tempted by the end of show sell off though, you want to examine it very carefully to check if the price reflects the condition.

Personally i would avoid an ex display tent like the plague. If you can imagine the amount of people that have walked through them over the last few months. Bored teenagers in hight heels to name but a few. Also continued use can cause uv damage to the canvas and they can end up leaking badly. With all the end of season sales on right now there are many new bargins to be had so all of the savings and none of the hassle

Hi all, just back from visiting Yeomans camping exhibition in Calver,Derbyshire.Very impressed by the number of tents on display, there were round about 100.Outwell made up about 60% of these. There were also Vango,Coleman,a few Khyams and Peakland(their own brand I believe)The prices are the same as their website, the only big discounts to be had is if you take them down yourself. Some said last day others said take away today. They all looked decent in condition. We nearly bought an Outwell Nevada M,which was £199,or take away last day for £129.We asked if we could have it today at that price and was told yes.The only problem was the centre set of poles looked out of shape, was told it could be a broken pole but to me it also looked like it wasn't sewn properly. They had a marquee selling all accessories which were no cheaper than the internet.Plenty of new Outwell tents and canopies, carpets etc.

As you can see by the photo's the second from back poles look out of shape. The tent itself was brilliant, just what we are looking for in a weekend tent.We were not desperate to get one this season, but it certainly ticked all our boxes. Also the Nevada XL is a really nice tent

We went to the one at Trentham, Staffs last weekend. They could do with a lesson in how to erect tents but i suppose after the first 10 they start to lose heart.

We managed to pick up an Outwell Georgia XL with free extension for £260, I think that's a bargain.

Bought an outwell from a yeoman sale at darley dale 2 years ago. Half the orig price and cheaper than the internet prices i could find as well. I inspected it and found absolutely nothing wrong with it. would you buy if it was damaged anyway seriously ? also bought other items as well and got a very good deal, the lads even packed the tent away for me to show me how to do it correctly, what more could i ask for ?
