                There is a place at Bolton, near Moses Gate, I go past it fairly often but can't remember the name of the firm, they have a big sign that says tent repairs, anyway if it is not to far out for you, let me know I will stop and get the contact details for you when I next pass there.

if you cant get it repaired by a profesianal company, as you have been reparing it with duck tape it suggests that it is on a flatish area of the tent you could try a more permanant diy repair

I would say get a bit of tent fabric longer than the rip in the tent sew the area at the end of the rip at 90 degres to the rip to stop it running any further and then glue the spare piece of tent fabic on to the tent with contact adhesive glue bot the patch and the tent wait til it is tacky and then fit the patch it wont look pretty but then neither did duck tape
